Construct The Indefinite Is Now Part Of GSR!

by Construct The Indefinite

We welcome you are first Metal band to the label Construct The Indefinite! Here's their biography with a little more information about them with who they are and what they all do.

"The band was originally conceived from two brothers who were interested in forming a heavy music project. They recruited a vocalist and drummer throughout 2007. Soon, the four high school friends got so accustomed to each other’s talents that they were making huge strides in progress every month. June 2007 saw their debut show as a double whammy: not only was it their first time on the scene, but it was also the show of a Battle Of The Bands contest.

Construct The Indefinite - CTI for short - is actually an unintended creation from Juan Hernandez, a long time friend of CTI, who has been in the bands Cadence, Beneath The Glass, and is now in the band Momentary. The band was previously called Melbourne, and before that, En Theatrum. The band kept these titles for a year or so and even made some experimental logos and designs with them. One t-shirt was even made with the name of Melbourne, and they played two shows with that name. Quickly, however, Brad got around to convincing the band that Melbourne was meaningless and unoriginal, and that it really had no value to the band. After struggling to create a new name to no avail, Brad presented Juan Hernandez with some random words. Almost immediately, Juan had comically combined some of the words in the names to produce “Construct The Indefinite”, as well as names similar to it. At first everyone laughed it all off. But sooner than later the band began to take notice to its sound, feel and meaning, and the band was once and for all dubbed Construct The Indefinite.

June 2008 was CTI’s last show with its original lineup of Tim Washington on vocals, Dan Ahmad on guitar, Talha Ahmad on bass and Brad Johnson on drums. Before encountering this massive lineup change, CTI played local shows for over a year in the Chicagoland area, spanning a wide range of venues such as Paradigm CafĂ© and Clearwater Theater. Highlighted shows from 2008 were CTI’s performances at the Fred P. Hall Amphitheater in Palatine and Chicago’s Congress Theatre.

To this day, they continue to put effort into booking shows and getting their name publicized, all by themselves. These makers of melodies continue to work strong to consistently leave a mark on the local music scene."

They just finished recording a 4 track EP that will be released very soon. Check out their MySpace to stream some of their songs.

"Thomas En Masse EP" Out Now!

by Thomas En Masse

We conclude our first year of Get Some! Tradition with a new release and it's by a new artist called Thomas En Masse. You will not be able expect how good his Minimal Techno and his Tech House is.

"This now brings the ending of the 2009/2010 part of the Get Some Tradition and we're ending it perfectly with another brand new artist by the name of Thomas En Masse. It's a very unique name but there's nothing wrong with that right? For a debut release from Tom on GSR and his debut in general, it starts him off to the right path of goodness. It's a very good thing that he is no way near of calling it quits. Go Tech House crazy!"
