DJ Nerd42 Is Now Part Of GSR!

by DJ Nerd42

We welcome you a brand new artist to the label called DJ Nerd 42. He is a DJ that makes Mixtapes and is currently finishing his most recent Mixtape that will contain Hip-Hop and other styles.

"I don't really remember how I got started being a DJ. I think it was a combination of several factors all converging together. One of them was exposure to reinterpreted pop music through a lifelong unrelenting obsessive Weird Al Yankovic fandom. Another of them was DJ Teh Cheat on HomestarRunner.com. I figured, surely I can do this whole DJing thing if a cartoon character that can't even speak correctly can do it! But I originally wanted to make techno dancey trancey stuff based on synths and strings, kinda like Rob Dougan meets BT. Not mashups or hip hop."

Mixing For "Robot After All Vol. 3" Is Almost Complete!

by Get Some! Records

After a very long wait for the final volume of the Robot After All project to be completed is now coming true! When volume three was announced at August 16th, 2008 on TheDaftClub.com by Electromatic, the anticipated release date was planned to be in December 2008, then summer 2009, then fall 2009, but it wasn't ready to be released. Reasons being for this occurrence is because there were dilemmas for getting all the tracks in on time, the artwork getting completed, the communication between some of the remixers, the mixing process, and the possible Encore disc and getting the tracks for those.

After all of those issues, they all got resolved and everything is coming together really smoothly. It's safe to say that this compilation, plus the Encore Edition, will all be released no later than the summer of 2010! We've been putting it all together and we thank the one and only DJ Muziek for mixing this wonderful album. He's been hard a work for a long time. All the DJs the put their heart and soul in their tracks and everyone at GSR gives him their thanks and gratitude.

Mark it on your calendars for RAA3 to be out in the summer of 2010! It's going to be a big hit! So, stay tuned...

GSR Got An Article In A Newspaper

by Get Some! Records

We were featured on the Palatine High School's newspaper called The Cutless. The author, Jack Riedy, interviewed Zach a few weeks prior to get more information about the label to write this article. The article did get a lot of recognition. Unfortunately, our website never made it into the article for some odd reason. Oh well. At least people know how to fine the site and ask Zach for "directions." Click to view the article.

"A Collection Of Amazing Remixes" Out Now!

by Electromatic

The wait is over! A year later and Electromatic is back from a year long hiatus. To comeback, he made a new album which is a remix album containing thirty remixes on two discs.

"It's been almost a year since Electromatic has put something out. Instead of being a studio album, it's a remix album that contains his best remixes he has put out in the last 3 years. This album includes a handful of new ones as well. For having so many unbelievable songs in this album, it had to be separated onto two discs. The first disc contains most of his remixes that are on his YouTube page. The second disc contains his favorite Daft Punk remixes. This is also the first album that has Electromatic himself on the front cover. There are a variety of genres that go from House to Drum & Bass to Hip-Hop. A lot of these songs will be recognized to the people that listen to the popular music in the last five years. The wait is now over so hurry and listen!"
