DJ Nerd42's "It's Pronounced Forty Two" Available April 24th!

by DJ Nerd42

We are pleased to announce that DJ Nerd42's new mixtape "It's Pronounced Forty Two" will be available on the 24th of April! It will contain mashups such as KJ-52, Rootbeer, Daft Punk, Mars Ill, and many others. This album contains 17 tracks plus a bonus track. The tracklist will be revealed soon. Here's what DJ Nerd42 himself said about this album.

"... I think there's alot of talent in the Christian hip hop scene that ought to get more mainstream exposure. If you want to hear more Christian mashups in the future, bug all Christian hip hop artists (especially Mars ILL) to release their acapellas! Instrumentals are a dime a dozen but Christian rap acapellas are hard to come by!"

It is true that not a lot of Christian Rap artists release their acapellas so that people can remix them. It's unfortunate, but it's true. He's trying to get these artists to release them and show that people want to make remixes through this album.

The Site Is Back Up!

by Get Some! Records

As you know, the site was down this past week and there was no warning that this was going to happen. The reason why this happened is because our hosting company moved their office and hardware from Dallas to Chicago. Because of this big move, some sites had to be down while they moved the hardware. Now our site's back on and there shouldn't be any more issues with this site specifically.

Thank you all for be really patient with us and sorry for the inconvenience.

DJ Nerd42 Is Now Part Of GSR!

by DJ Nerd42

We welcome you a brand new artist to the label called DJ Nerd 42. He is a DJ that makes Mixtapes and is currently finishing his most recent Mixtape that will contain Hip-Hop and other styles.

"I don't really remember how I got started being a DJ. I think it was a combination of several factors all converging together. One of them was exposure to reinterpreted pop music through a lifelong unrelenting obsessive Weird Al Yankovic fandom. Another of them was DJ Teh Cheat on HomestarRunner.com. I figured, surely I can do this whole DJing thing if a cartoon character that can't even speak correctly can do it! But I originally wanted to make techno dancey trancey stuff based on synths and strings, kinda like Rob Dougan meets BT. Not mashups or hip hop."

Mixing For "Robot After All Vol. 3" Is Almost Complete!

by Get Some! Records

After a very long wait for the final volume of the Robot After All project to be completed is now coming true! When volume three was announced at August 16th, 2008 on TheDaftClub.com by Electromatic, the anticipated release date was planned to be in December 2008, then summer 2009, then fall 2009, but it wasn't ready to be released. Reasons being for this occurrence is because there were dilemmas for getting all the tracks in on time, the artwork getting completed, the communication between some of the remixers, the mixing process, and the possible Encore disc and getting the tracks for those.

After all of those issues, they all got resolved and everything is coming together really smoothly. It's safe to say that this compilation, plus the Encore Edition, will all be released no later than the summer of 2010! We've been putting it all together and we thank the one and only DJ Muziek for mixing this wonderful album. He's been hard a work for a long time. All the DJs the put their heart and soul in their tracks and everyone at GSR gives him their thanks and gratitude.

Mark it on your calendars for RAA3 to be out in the summer of 2010! It's going to be a big hit! So, stay tuned...
